The Don Mills Flyers may have the deepest roster of any U16 team in Ontario this season. They looked dominant through most of the tournament. Their toughest competition came in the Quarter Finals against the Barrie Colts and in the Finals against the host Toronto Titans. Don Mills moves the puck extremely well and it all starts from the back end with multiple high end puck moving defenders on the roster. Caden Bell and Peter Green are two highly rated defensive prospects that can contribute at both ends of the ice. Up front the Flyers have multiple scoring threats. In fact, every single forward on Don Mills' roster had at least one goal during the tournament. In key situations the Flyers relied heavily on their top line of Charlie Murata, Tyler Lee and Lincoln Edwards. Not only was this line effective offensively (combining for 32 points in 8 games) but they were also great on the defensive side as well. Don Mills' goalies played fantastic as well. Both goalies had under 1 GAA in the tournament. There is a very high chance this won't be the last time we see the Don Mills Flyers and Toronto Titans competing in a high stakes games this season. Look for both teams to be competing for the #1 ranking in Ontario this season.
