VS London Knights / OHL Championship
Owen Griffin had himself an incredible season and even better playoffs. He worked his way up a talented Oshawa lineup and played a huge role for them. He played well on both the top PK unit and top PP unit. The Generals had a very tough matchup against a stacked London team in the finals. A competitive forward who thrives in difficult areas of the ice despite being slightly undersized. Bulking up and getting stronger will be a top priority although he protects the puck surprisingly well for his size. Showed toughness and an ability to generate offense from those high-traffic areas. Excellent ability to tip pucks and corral rebounds, leading to scoring chances around the crease. He consistently kept his feet moving and was able to draw some penalties. Griffin’s game took a huge step this season and if he continues to develop at this same pace he could be a draft day steal. Likely chance he takes over as the Generals top centreman next season.
