Game / Tournament Reports
2025 U18 Championship
Katzin joined the OHL after starting the season in the USHL. He quickly started producing offence on a struggling Guelph team and finished with over a point per game. He was a big part of team Canadas attack, especially on the power play. He scored 4 goals and added 6 assist in 7 games. He had some quiet stretches but also had a bunch of multi point games in this tournament. Possesses good agility and solid edge work, allowing him to maneuver in tight spaces and escape pressure. Quick, deceptive hands make him a threat in 1-on-1 situations and give him the ability to create space for himself and others. Creative passer who thrives when given time and space. Undersized but uses his leverage well and will go to tough areas. Improving his strength and off-puck play will be key to his success at the next level. Tough to tell now how his game will translate to the NHL level but his draft stock should be rising. A potential steal if he slips in the draft and he continues to refine his game.
